Hexadactyly: A Rare Case | A 2-year-old Caucasian female patient, referred to our Department, presented on physical examination a symmetrical duplication of the 5th finger in both hands and feet. (Figure 1) Bone structures could be also palpated and observed at X-ray exam (Figures 1 & 2). Clinical family history was negative for malformation disease or teratogenic drugs taken during pregnancy. Furthermore the child was not suffering from other associated malformations or organ dysfunction, the genetic examinations showed a normal karyo type and the absence of known mutations. She had no other anomalies and growth and development were normal. Radiographic examination showed six sets of phalanges with five metacarpals Figure 1; the last finger did not have an associated metacarpal in both hands but on the left the proximal phalanx of the last finger appears fused with the fifth metacarpal instead on the right hand the sixth finger is attached by a skin bridge only. The long bones of the arms were normal. According to Stelling and Turek classification, the right hand can be classificated as Type I, the left one as Type II Hexadactyly: A Rare Case. Total Phenolic Content of Three Samples from the Powdered Stem Bark of Detarium Microcarpum Guill. and Perr. (Fabaceae) | Preliminary processing of the plant material was done. The stem cuttings were debarked and the barks dried in an open air under shade. The macroscopical examinations were done. The dried plant materials were powdered. Three different samples of the plant extracts/fraction were used in the determination and the UV-Visible Spectrophotometric Analysis method was adopted. Tannic acid was used as the standard. The absorbencies were measured using the Jenway 630 UV-visible spectrophotometer at 570nm against water: methanol blank. The various absorbance obtained were plotted against the corresponding concentrations to obtain a standard calibration curve. The Caspian Littoral Strip in Azerbaijan is concerned with the State of Ecology of Heavily Exposed Metals | Pollution of the environment has become one of the most important tasks of our time; a special role belongs to heavy metals, which have the ability to accumulate in soils and through them to enter food products, while contributing to soil degradation. Absheron Peninsula is an anthropogenic load; it is the most tense in Azerbaijan. The peninsula is located on the western shore of the Caspian Sea and is the southeastern tip of the Greater Caucasus Range, occupying a total area of 200 thousand hectares. In the middle part its width is 28 km, and the length from east to west is 62 km. Absolute marks of hypsometric level of the surface from 25 to 300-350 m above sea level. The relief is characterized by soft, smoothed and weakly dissected, representing a slightly wavy plain, with a progress toward the west, where it gradually elevates, which is explained, first of all, by the young age in geological terms of the relief and the insignificant height of the peninsula above the basis of erosion. Pediatric Pes Planus: A Review | Flat foot is a complex three-dimensional skeletal disorder with multifactorial etiology frequently encountered in evolutionary age, and tends to resolve spontaneously in adolescence. Despite the high frequency, there is no precise and universally accepted flat foot definition due to the absence of clinical and radiographic diagnostic criteria [1,2]. From the anatomical point of view it is characterized by: hyperpronation and valgus of the hindfoot (due to the eversion of the subtalar joint); abduction and supination of the forefoot and reduction of the plantar vault. Often the flat foot is associated with brevity of the achilles tendon. Risk factors are joint laxity, male sex, severe kneerotation, and obesity [3]. All children have a flat foot at birth because there is a fat pad at the base of the foot in order to protect the skeletal structures. Normally, flat foot resolves at the age of 10, following the development of the longitudinal medial plantar vault. In some cases it is also found in adulthood. Morley found a flat foot incidence of 97% at 2 years, and 4% after 10 years [4]; Staheli, through a study of 800 patients, reports the same incidence and states that it dramatically reduces between 3 and 6 years [5]. Evans and Harris state that the incidence of flat foot in the adult is respectively 15% and 20% Pediatric Pes Planus: A Review. For More Articles: Biomedical Journal Articles : https://biomedres.us/

Atherosclerosis (Also Coronary Artery Disease),Rheumatoid Vasculitis, Morbus Alzheimer, Stroke Etc | According to American research 3 million various sorts of molecular endogenous factors circulate in the blood of a healthy person, including around 100 thousand selective antibodies (established by me, I have evidence). Moreover, there are about 10 million submolecular neurochemical transmitters and neurotransmitters in blood. All molecular factors, antibodies and neurochemical submolecular transmitters are controlled by biocybernetic non-invasive stimulation with clavics or wellknown toothpicks through dermal receptors, collagen innervated fibres, numerous biologically active points, also cryogenic, acupuncture ones and the nervous system. The entire method of clavitherapy, which I have been investigating and experimenting with for over 50 years with verification in clinical conditions, is formulated methodically in 1100 algorithms with the network of actions quantified with medical diagnosis for various functional dysfunctions and diseases described and expressed pictorially in the books: Clavitherapy and the Atlas of Clavitherapy. Effect of Molecular Weight on Electro Spun Pcl Based Composite Fibrous Mats | Controlling the biodegradation of scaffolds to tune with that of the growing tissue is crucial for tissue regeneration. Although molecular weight of a polymer is known to influence its degradation, such studies have not been reported for electrospun Polycaprolactone (PCL) based composite scaffolds. In the present study, two low molecular weight PCL, 10 and 45 kDa PCL (10PCL and 45PCL) have been analyzed for their electrospun ability and biodegradation in comparison with 80 kDa PCL (80PCL) in forming pure polymeric and hydroxyapatite composite nanofibrous mats. The 45PCL and 80PCL were electro spin able but the 10PCL resulted in electro spraying of particles. However, 45PCL needed a higher concentration (20 wt.%) of polymer than the 80PCL (8 wt.%) in order to electrospin bead free uniform fibres. The fibres obtained were in the diameter range of 310±50 nm and 400±100 nm for the 45PCL and 45PCL/HA composite mats respectively. The Hydroxyapatite (HA) incorporation in the composites was confirmed through X-ray diffraction and spectroscopic methods. The 45PCL/HA composite degrades at a relatively faster rate than the 80PCL/HA composite. The electrospun mats were also found to be non cytotoxic (Live/Dead assay), commendable cellular metabolic activity (MTT assay) and good proliferation of osteoblast like cells (HOS) as evidenced through fluorescent and scanning electron microscopy. This work demonstrated the feasibility of fabricating PCL based electrospun composite scaffolds having controlled degradation rates. Roots of Antibiotic’s Vicious Cycle through Aquatic Environment | Antibiotics, ARGs, ARB and AMR have been frequently reported in aquatic environment, which has gained increasing concern as with explosion of antibiotics. The potential adverse effects of antibiotics, ARGs, ARB and AMR are undeniably tremendous. In this paper, we think that besides overconsumption of antibiotics, WWTPs, DWTPs, agriculture, aquaculture and livestock are the roots resulting in the vicious cycle of antibiotics through aquatic environment. Simultaneously, suggestions were given to mitigate the vicious cycle. For More Articles: Biomedical Open Access Journals : https://biomedres.us/

Anti-Metastatic Properties of Bio Synthesized Ag NPs on Osteosarcoma (MG-63) Cancer Cell Lines | Silver Nanoparticles have been synthesized by many techniques. Green synthesis of nano particle is a novel technique to synthesis nano particles by using plant sources. It is gaining attention because it is cost effective, eco-friendly and large scale production is possible. In this present study, Silver Nano particles are synthesized biologically by using plant extract. The silver nano particles synthesized are confirmed by their change of color to dark brown due to the phenomenon of surface Plasmon resonance. The Silver nano particles produced were characterized by UV-vis spectroscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). After the synthesis and characterization of silver Nano particles, the antimetastic properties of Ag Nano-particles were studied on Osteosarcoma cancer cell lines. The application of Ag Nano-particles to Osteosarcoma cancer cell lines produces anticancer activity and show good antimicrobial activity. High Levels of Allergenic Tree Pollen in Southern New Zealand | Tree Pollen are significant sources of clinically relevant outdoor aeroallergens, a major cause of allergic respiratory diseases, yet little is known about their prevalence in New Zealand. This study reports concentrations of airborne allergenic tree pollen measured in central Dunedin during October and November 1992. Four tree pollen taxa were prominent during these spring months, all from introduced species. Of these, Fraxinus (ash) and Pinus (pine) are not considered to be important aeroallergens, but Betula (birch) and Cupressus (cypress) have reported high allergenic potency in other regions. These results indicate that allergenic tree pollen of birch and cypress can reach significantly high levels in Dunedin during spring, often in association with strong northwesterly winds. It is likely that tree pollen and in particular birch and cypress are making an important contribution to the total pollen allergen load and to the increasing prevalence of allergic rhinitis and asthma in New Zealand. More 1comprehensive and up-to-date information on allergenic pollen levels is needed to help understand the growing prevalence of respiratory disorder in New Zealand. The “Master Code of Biology”: New Biomathematical Tracks in Alzheimer Disease | Fundamental research not yet published enables us to unify, overall, the genomics and proteomics information of any genetic sequence. This fundamental law is based on a bio-mathematics unification of all genetic information (bio-atoms, nucleotides, codons, amino acids, DNA/RNA/Proteins) from the level of the six basic bio-atoms conhsp to the global level of whole genomes. This law, which we name “Universalis Genetic Codes: Global Unified Genetic Codes (GUGC)”, traduces a global genetic tuning and balancing unifying any DNA sequence and its equivalent translated into amino acids. As an indication, one measures a linear Genomics/ Proteomics coupling of 97% for the whole genome of AIDS HIV1- HXB2, length of more than 9000 bp, including about ten genes and enzymes. Concretely, the dynamics of this Genomics/Proteomics coupling is appeared as two correlated curves translating topology and the dynamic evolution of a hierarchical classification of codons throughout the studied sequence.
