When Angiography Makes a Difference – Polyarteritis Nodosa- A Rare Cause of Mid- Gastrointestinal Bleeding | We present a case of overt and recurrent mid-gastrointestinal bleeding with hemodynamic repercussion and severe limitation to the patients’ quality of life, followed in our department for the last 6 years. The final diagnosis of isolated gastrointestinal involvement of Polyarteritis Nodosa was only reached after multiple hospital admissions, imaging and gastroenterological examinations. A subtle finding of micro aneurysms in the mesenteric circulation opened the way to effective treatment when endoscopic treatment had failed to prevent recurrences. Mid gastrointestinal bleeding (MGIB) is uncommon but represents the majority of cases of recurrent GI bleeding without an obvious source, even after endoscopic and imaging evaluation [1]. Overt MGIB manifestations depend on the rate of bleeding and when associated with hemodynamic instability may present with haematemesis, melaena and/or haematochezia. Ecosystem Services of Insects | Insects comprise the most diverse group of multicellular organisms in the planet Earth, which provide several ecosystem services like pollination, pest control (bio-control), decomposition, transference of energy through food chain etc. In addition, insects are widely used today as human edible items and ingredients of fish-feed, turtle-feed, livestock, etc. In this paper we focus on the vital ecosystem services provided by insects with special reference to their services in the domain of human food. Our research stands on the high nutritional value of insects preferably protein which ranges between 13% – 77%. Our paper has two-fold goals namely documentation of selective ecosystem services of insects and highlighting the edible value of insects. In this paper we have intentionally excluded the value of commercially produced insectderived products like honey, wax, silk, shellac, etc. rather our main focus is to highlight the nutritional value of insects which is the most demanding subject to feed the rapidly rising population in the present world. Fine structure of Somatotrophs in Pars Distalis of the Indian wild Caught Female Bat, Taphozous nudiventris kachhensis (Dobson) | The ultra structural observations on Somatotrophs During estrus cells are spherical to oval in shape with the spherical nucleus. Cytoplasm of cell is filled with a large number of round to oval shaped secretory granules of diameter ranges from 200-400nm. Cells during early pregnancy are polyhedral in shape with eccentric nucleus and mostly euchromatic. Mitochondria are spherical to oval in shape with lamellar cristae. The Golgi zone is observed juxtanuclear in position. Secretory granules are increases in number as compared to estrus. STH cell during lactation are polyhedral in shape. Rough endoplasmic reticulums are elongated, tubular dotted with ribosomes. Secretory granules are seen scattered in the cytoplasm. The diameter of secretory granules is about 230 nm. The Effect of Alcohol Intoxication on Mortality in Road Traffic Injury Patients at Level I Apex Trauma Centre in India | Alcohol consumption arising as leading risk factor for road traffic injuries and one of the major public health concerns globally. Alcoholism is associated with liver disease, coronary vascular disease, Hypertension, Stroke, acute pancreatitis etc. [1-4]. There has been a rapid change in recent years towards alcohol use in India and originated as one of the main contributors to health problems. Recent studies have demonstrated that drink driving is strongly associated with a higher frequency of road traffic accidents which leads to hospitalization to emergency department. The alcohol use is increasing in urban areas, therefore, injuries related to alcohol intake and driving is also increased like road traffic accidents, fire and burns, pedestrian falls and drowning as well as intentional injuries such as violence against oneself or others. In developing countries, like India, alcohol related injuries are matter of concern due to the resource constraint setting as burden of injuries have huge impact on the overall economic growth of the country andmajor part of the GDP is lost due to road traffic injuries. Effect of Season on In-vitro Anti Oxidant Activity of Astilberivularis Buch – Ham. Ex D. Don leaves | Effect of season on in vitro anti oxidant activity of Astilberivularis Buch. – Ham. Ex D. Don leaves was studied. Leaves of Astilberivularis Buch. – Ham. Ex D. Don were collected in different seasons and in vitro anti oxidant activity of the leaves was measured by superoxide anion generation with the help of xanthine-xanthine oxidase assay and with linoleic acid peroxidation assay as well as by DPPH photometric assay. Total phenol, flavonoids, ascorbic acid and carotenoid contents in the leaves of different seasons were also estimated. Results showed that in vitro anti oxidant activity of the leaves of Astilberivularis Buch. – Ham. Ex D. Don was found maximum during rainy season (June – July). Anti oxidant compounds in leaves like total phenol, flavonoids, ascorbic acid and carotenoids were also present in maximum amount during rainy season. Anti oxidant activity, therefore, was related with high content of total phenol, flavonoid, ascorbic acid and carotenoids in the leaves. Leaves of Astilberivularis Buch. – Ham. Ex D. Don of rainy season should be used to get maximum anti oxidant activity. For More Articles: Journal of Biomedical Research and Reviews : https://biomedres.us/

Comparative Examination of Attitudes of Addicts and Non- Addicts – Gamblers | The attitude is interpreted on the one hand, as a function of the individual’s perception of – in our case, for example. The usefulness of gambling / harmful effects – on the other hand it is the internal control of social behavior (impulsion, motivation, pressure). A separated area of the research is attitude studies, where we examine the behavior of individuals to develop what causes cognitive and emotional factors. At present, it is also undisputed that researches attitudes and attitude scales capable of measuring attitudes at all: the results could not clearly show the link with the behavior [1]. The attitude – based on the definition given by All port – was organized through experience mental and neural state of readiness, which is a dynamic leader or entice, a mobilizing effect on the individual reaction of all those situations towards which the attitude concerns. Analysis of Myocardial Deformity as a Method of Estimating Myocardial Contractility in Patients with Mitral Valve Replacement | Mitral Insufficiency (MI) is currently the second most common cause of valvular disease accounting for one-third of valvulopathies. The early detection of deteriorating systolic function in patients with chronic mitral regurgitation, and thus the ability to identify the most appropriate moment for surgery remains a challenge to physicians. The analysis of myocardial deformation has recently emerged as a quantitative means of reliably estimating myocardial contractility. In the assessment of left ventricular function it is therefore less dependent on the load than traditional methods. There are currently two ways to assess myocardial deformation: tissue Doppler (TD) and a new method known as speckletracking (ST). The aim of the present revision was to deepen the study of the longitudinal myocardial deformation of the left ventricle using these techniques for predicting the LVEF deterioration in patients who have undergone surgery for chronic severe mitral valve regurgitation.
