A Spiritual, Soul, Body Model as the Non-Biomedical Model | The value has transformed into focused on the materials and family destruction globally during the time of making extra efforts on the economics, the ten leading deaths of Taiwan includes cancer, depression mad suicide which has identified the unhealthy body, mind and spirituality. How could we alter, repair, and heal own spirituality to lessen the sinful minds, psychology, and emotion approaching the balanced status for further improving the healthy bodies? It is really a worthwhile discussion and research topic. Hawkey [1] proposed a question as the interaction between the spirituality and soul of human beings, which means that the hurt spirituality could induce the sinful mind that might impact the psychology and emotion of human beings that she has called as soul. The hurt spirituality included spirituality of timid, imprisoned, tarnished, crush, sad, orphan, faint, and sinful minds included the un-forgiveness, resentment, angry, revenge, greedy, self-blame, jealous, bitterness, and the consequences would induce the anxiety, stress, fear, shame, and sorrow. Following the Hawkey [1] theory, Ku [2] proposed the hypothesis of spirituality, soul, and body model that not only the hurt spirituality could induce the sinful mind that might impact the psychology and emotion of human beings, gradually it also impact the bodies of human beings, resulting in the toxin blood with reducing the immune system which caused the phenomena of sickness of human beings [3-8]. Instead of the traditional model of body, mind, spirituality, the mainstream of spirituality, soul, and body model is to hypothesize the spirituality with the function of the scientific influences for the souls and bodies of human beings. Following (Figure 1) is the spirituality, soul, and body model. For More Articles: Scientific Research Articles on Biomedical : https://biomedres.us/

Assessment of Cognitive Impairment in Older Research Participants | In any clinical trial or observational study, a certain level of cognitive function is required in order to ensure participant safety and ability to comply with the study protocol. Participants should adequately understand what is involved in their participation, as well as any potential risks or benefits of participation. The costs of using a specific screening method, however, need to be weighed against the information obtained. This prevents the inefficient use of available resources, such as avoiding assessments that require an extremely long administration time and unnecessarily increase participant burden. Due to the inherent challenges in obtaining a valid assessment of cognitive function in a time efficient manner, all potential assessment measures should be evaluated with a “best fit” approach. Keeping this “best fit” approach in mind, we reviewed and evaluated a number of screening tests for assessing cognitive impairment based on recommendations provided by experts in the field. Based on our review, we provide recommendations about existing methods for screening cognitive function in older research participants. Using the “best fit” approach, we would recommend the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) to screen for cognitive impairment in older research participants. Other measures, such as the Cognitive Abilities Screening Instrument (CASI) and Modified Mini-Mental State (3MS), are indeed promising, but the MMSE can be administered in a time efficient manner and has the highest amount of supporting literature. Partial Segmental Testicular Infarction in a Mature Rhesus Macaque (Macaca mulatta) Resembling a Human Condition | This paper describes a case of segmental testicular infarction (STI), a rarely described human condition resulting from partial ischemia of the testis and often resulting from complex, organic, traumatic or metabolic causes, although an idiopathic etiology has been also considered. Being an important human occurrence, STI has not been reported in non-human primates (NHP) and this work is aimed to characterize a fortuitous case of STI in a 20-year-old male rhesus macaque, demonstrated by clinical findings, ultrasonography and histopathology studies. Clinically, the subject presented a significant scrotal wall thickening and in duration of the right testis palpated at its lower pole, while ultrasonography revealed a hypoechoic irregular mass of poorly defined margins. Upon excising this organ, the histological findings demonstrated a well-defined hemorrhagic nodule measuring 1 cm in diameter consistent with segmental testicular infarction, confirmed by further detailed observations disclosing arteriolar wall thickening and a double lumen, indicating post-infarctrecanalization considered an analogous condition seen in human stroke. An Explication on Broadening the Definition and Scope of Maximum Available Resources under the General Comment 14 of the ICESCR to include Islamic Taxation in Financing the Right to Health | There exists no comprehensive definition on what constitutes “available resources” as envisaged under article 2.1 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. There is also an absence of an extensive discourse on this definition beyond stating that it refers to both the resources existing within a state as well as those available from the international community through international cooperation and assistance. The definition does not recognize Islamic forms of taxation that are domestically available to an Islamic as well as a secular state. Accordingly, the problem identified in this explication is that of linking zakat; a form of Islamic taxation, to the concept and definition of maximum available resources. The book by Waris (2015) argues that there is a link between taxation and human rights (the right to health being among such rights). Waris pushes this proposition to the point of demonstrating the validity of the argument that rights require resources for their realization and subsequent enforcement, but she stops short of discussing the exact fiscal mechanism that could be used for the realisation and enforcement of specific rights. This explication having identified this gap aims to advance an argument that allows for broadening the international community understands of what constitutes maximum available resources that a state can utilise to finance the right to health. It proposes the introduction of zakat as a potential method of mobilising financial resources domestically available and argues for its inclusion in the definition and scope of maximum available resources. A Comparative Study to Evaluate the Serum Lipid Profile in Pre and Postmenopausal Woman in Sulaymaniyah City _ Iraq | This study aims to measure the levels of fat in women before and after menopause, which is considered as an indicator to increase the likelihood of cardiovascular disease. This study included 210 Iraqi women before menopause, which ranged in age between (27-45), and 200 of postmenopausal women were between the ages of (51-67). Blood samples were collected for cholesterol measurement, triglycerides and high protein density and low protein density and low-density lipoprotein too. The results showed no significant differences in cholesterol TC level as the results of the study showed that there are statistically significant differences for triglycerides (TG) which reported results significantly increased (P <0.05) in postmenopausal women when compared to pre menopausal women in which the results were (145.97±39.64) (100.87 ±32.11) mg / dL, respectively. As for (HDL-C) there was a significant decrease (P <0.05) in postmenopausal women (34.41 ± 10.92) when compared with pre menopausal women (43.01 ± 14.29), as well as the case for (LDL-C) in which there was a statistically significant increase (P <0.05) with reported results (108.59±21.20) in postmenopausal women and (77.11 ± 30.36) in women before menopause. Sturge-Weber Syndrome Complicating with Ipsilateral Hemangioma-liked Nasal Polyps | Sturge-Weber syndrome (SWS), also known as encephalotrigeminal angiomatosis, was reported by Schirmer, Sturge and Weber in succession in mid-19th century. And it is a neurocutaneous disease classically presenting with a facial portwine stain in the ophthalmic distribution of the trigeminal nerve, glaucoma and vascular eye abnormalities, and an ipsilateral occipital leptomeningeal angioma. It is possible to observe nose and sinus involvement in SWS [1]. And there already have been some cases about SWS accompanying with chronic rhinosinusitis [2], but to our knowledge, there are still no cases describing SWS combining with ipsilateral chronic rhinosinusitis and unusual nasal polyps. Here, we report a case of SWS which incorporated with ipsilateral chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal polyps-more precisely hemangioma-liked nasal polyps. Dysfunction of Endothelial Cell Precursors in Heart Failure Development | Heart failure (HF) a leading cause of premature death in patients with established cardiovascular (CV) disease. Although the global burden of HF is increasing, there is no evidence regarding promising results that improves long-term clinical outcomes especially for HF with preserved and mid-regional pump function. In this context, determination of the vulnerable populations at higher risk of HF development and progression is very promising. Endothelial dysfunction (ED) plays a central role in the manifestation of HF regardless its phenotypes. For more Articles: Biomedical Research Articles : https://biomedres.us/

Design of Compression/Pressure Garments for Diversified Medical Applications | Compression garments have been extensively in varied medical and sports applications. The article critically reviews the design aspects of knit compression garments for suitability in sports and medical applications. The influences of physical attributes of suitable knitted fabrics on the amount of pressure generated on the underlying body have been studied. The tensile properties of the knit fabrics having various orientations to stretch, predictive pressure generated by compression garments have been primarily considered. Subsequently a method of validating the reliability of laplace law for calculating applied pressures for calculation of applied pressures that are generated by compression garments have been highlighted. Modeling of compression garments has been done with the intended value of unit pressure for the body circumference of a variable curvature radius. The basis of modeling considered can be applied in designing compression garments supporting external treatment such as after burn therapy and lymphadema. The Mirizzi Syndrome –Major Cause for Biliary Duct Injury during Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy | After the introduction of laparoscopy as a method of choice for cholecystectomy, the amount of the biliary injury of the main bile duct has raised significantly. Primary cause for this is complicated cholecystitis with gallstone impacted in theHartmann’s pouch, also known as Mirizzi syndrome. The chronic complications of symptomatic gallstone disease, or Mirizzi syndrome, are named after Dr.Pablo Luis Mirizzi [1], an Argentinean surgeon who first performed intra-operative cholangiography in 1931 to obtained visual impression of the bile duct tree, and who in late 1948 described chronic complications of gallstone cholecystitis. Till the end of the 80’s the laparotomy is the main method for treatment of gallbladder stone decease. The introduction of mini invasive methods makes laparoscopy the first choice. But in 1, 5% [2] of the cases, predominantly in Mirizzi syndrome, the laparoscopic operation became the main reason for the increase of iatrogenic irrevocable injury of the main bile ducts. This, on its own, requires laparotomy and performance of bilio-digestive anastomosis, which significantly compromises the laparoscopy. For this reason we need to perform preoperative imaging diagnosis and to precise the options to perform save laparoscopic Cholecystectomy in complicated cases. Improving Quality of Life among Stroke Patients with Dysphagia: A Case Report | Dysphagia is a disorder that includes any dysfunction from chewing in the mouth to the passage of the bolus into the oesophagus [1]. In the United States, 50%-75% of nursing home residents are estimated as having dysphagia [2]. Dysphagia increases the risk of aspiration pneumonia by up to sevenfold [3] and leads high mortality rates of up to 40% [1]. The most common treatment for patients with dysphagia is the introduction of feeding tubes to prevent aspiration pneumonia [4]. Hence, this paper illustrates the interventions and treatments for stroke patients with dysphagia and the problems encountered by them.
