Hypersensitivity to Intravenous Ondansetron | A 33 year old male who was recovering after cholecystectomy presented a sudden onset of breathing difficulty and rashes all over the body with inj. Andtron (Ondansetron -4mg). The condition progressed to cardio pulmonary arrest, which was fortunately resuscitated successfully. Ondansetron is a highly potent antiemetic drug that is effective in preventing postoperative nausea and vomiting with very low risk of adverse reactions. We are reporting a reaction that is probably due to an allergy to serotonin blockers (Ondansetron, Granisetron). The patient recovered on discontinuing the drug and with appropriate treatment. A Novel Method for Psychiatric Clinical Diagnosis In Schizophrenic Symptoms Detection | Study was aim to evaluate reliability and psychiatric clinical value of Quantum Resonance Spectrometer (QRS) on schizophrenia symptoms detection. There were 100 schizophrenic patients and 100 normal controls in study. Symptoms of subjects respectively obtained from QRS test and psychiatrists’ diagnoses. The results of two methods were compared. Also symptoms of schizophrenia patient and 100 normal controls were discriminated using QRS test. Kappa value of symptoms detection had good consistency with psychiatrists’ diagnose. There were 7 symptoms more than 0.60 in total 11 symptoms of schizophrenic and 7 symptoms detection results of AUC of ROC more than 0.70. The same consistency was also being found in Youden index. In this study, Hallucination, Delusions, Stereotypy, Virbigeration, Pathological indolent, Psychomotor retardation, and Psychomotor excitement total 7 symptoms were be predicted by QRS. They have good consistency with psychiatrists’ diagnoses. QRS in schizophrenia symptoms detection have a predictable value for outcome, is an objective identification and diagnosis instrument, and may promote psychiatric clinical diagnosis development. Metabolic Surgery for Tackling Type II Diabetes Epidemic | Type II Diabetes is a serious chronic metabolic dysfunction leading to increased morbidity, mortality and cost. Globally an estimated 422 million adults were living with diabetes in 2014, compared to 108 million in 1980. The global prevalence of diabetes has nearly doubled since 1980, rising from 4.7% to 8.5% in the adult population. This reflects an increase in associated risk factors such as being overweight or obese. Over the past decade diabetes has risen faster in low and middle-income countries than in highincome countries. Metabolic Surgery for Tackling Type II Diabetes Epidemic. Diabetes caused 1.5 million deaths in 2012. Higher than optimal blood glucose caused an additional 2.2 million deaths, by increasing the risks of cardiovascular and other diseases. Diabetes is associated with significant complications which include heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, leg amputation, vision loss and nerve damage. Diabetes and its complications bring about substantial economic cost to people and health care system by its direct and indirect economic impact. Mental Disordersand Suicide | This section takes a look at some of the major types of mental disorders and describes how they may increase the risk of suicidal behavior in persons with these disorders. Included in this discussion are the principal disorders-depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia; in addition, the relationships between suicide and postpartum depression, eating disorders, self-mutilation, posttraumatic stress disorder, and alcohol/substance abuse are briefly considered. Mental Disordersand Suicide. With each of these disorders there is great need to provide information to the general public about the symptoms of the disease, its epidemiology, risk factors, clinical best practice, and research needs. Mental health education and awareness efforts also need to provide information on the various options for mental health treatment and their efficacy in reducing risk of suicide, the debate surrounding the safety of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), and the need to balance the possible benefits and risks in the selection of any method of treatment for mental illnesses. Perceptions of Male Nurses about Nursing Profession | Nursing is feminized profession by its nature, and traditional development of its concept of caring to sick for centuries. Nursing is a profession established by women that support the stereotypical feminine image with qualities of nurturing, and caring, in contrast to male characteristics of power, aggression, and authority. Males have concerns related to stereotyping and role strains, particularly in relation to patient care, as patients expecting female nurses to care for them, which cause difficulty in adjustment for men in nursing profession. The purpose of this review is to explore the perceptions of male nurses about the nursing profession, and to identify the reasons for choosing nursing as a career, and to discover the barriers in practice, and factors that affecting male nurses practices. There is a need to explore the perceptions of registered male nurses about nursing profession, identify the barriers that men are facing, and to elaborate the feelings of satisfaction to choose nursing as a career. “Mas Spec Pen”, The New Future For Cancer Diagnosis: Mini Review |Our intention is to give an outline and aware about recent innovation called Mas-Spec Pen developed at the University of Texas. This innovation could revolutionize the cancer diagnosis in upcoming days. Jialing Zihanget al. developed this biocompatible and automated device for non-destructive diagnosis of cancerous cells. This device attached with one handheld mass spectrometer. They named it as Mas- Spec Pen. This device could deliver discrete water to diseased tissue to extract biomolecules for cancer diagnosis. They have analyzed this instrument applicability by using it in 253 human patient tissue samples from lung, thyroids, and ovary. With this method, it has become very easy to estimate the potential cancer biomarkers in a form of lipids, metabolites, and proteins. This device could produce 96.3% accuracy in cancer prediction. In histological composition, this device could easily identify cancerous cells within normal cells. This device could also be useful in the diagnosis of residual cancerous cells during open surgery. Nevertheless, this device can be a future for ex vivo and in vivo cancer diagnosis. Finally, we have shown how international media houses responded on this current discovery.“Mas Spec Pen”, The New Future For Cancer Diagnosis: Mini Review. The Importance of Sleep in the Early Years | A 2014 study [1] highlights the fact that children who do not get sufficient sleep run a higher risk of becoming overweight or even obese within a year and also demonstrates a connection between maternal employment status and a child’s weight over time. Children with full-time working mothers were seen to sleep fewer hours than their peers whose mothers worked less than 20 hours per week. Children of full time working mothers also tended to have higher BMIs at the second weigh-in. Results of the above study demonstrated that just 18% of pre-school aged children were getting 11-13 hours of sleep per night and were, on average, getting about 9.6 hours of sleep at night. The study has also shown that each extra hour of sleep at night that a child obtained was associated with a 6.8% decrease in their BMI at the second weigh-in. Other factors from research that have been found to be associated with shorter infant sleeping patterns include maternal depression during pregnancy, the introduction of solid foods before the age of 4 months and infant TV viewing. Art and Science Combustion via Art | Combustion, burning or fire is the sequence of exothermic chemical reactions between fuel and an oxidant accompanied by the production of heat and conversion of the chemical species to new ones. Combustion supplies most of the energy required by human civilization where the visible result is fire and flames usually consisting of hot gases and light. The phenomenon of fire is mentioned already in the Bible in Genesis 15:17 as follows:”When the sun had set and darkness had fallen, a smoking firepot with a blazing torch appeared and passes between the pieces.” Probably the earliest reasonably scientific attempt to explain combustion was that of Johannes Baptista van Helmont (1580-1644), a Flemish Physician and Alchemist. He observed the relationship among a burning material, smoke and flame and said that combustion involved the escape of a “wild spirit” from the burning material. In 1667, Johann Joachim Becher (1635-1682), a German alchemist and physician, proposed the phlogiston theory. According to it there exist fire-like elements called “Phlogiston” that is contained within combustible bodies and are released during combustion. The theory was an attempt to explain processes such as combustion and the rusting of metals, which are now understood as oxidation. It was the great French chemist Antoine Laurent Lavoisier (1743-1794) who rejected traditional thinking and framed a new definition of combustion that was widely accepted. The Master Code of Biology: Self-assembly of two identical Peptides beta A4 1-43 Amyloid In Alzheimer’s Diseases | Fundamental research published enables us to unify, overall, the genomics and proteomics information of any genetic sequence. This fundamental law is based on a bio-mathematics unification of all genetic information (bio-atoms, nucleotides, codons, amino acids, DNA/RNA/ Proteins) from the level of the six basic bio-atoms C O N H S P to the global level of whole genomes. Concretely, the dynamics of this Genomics/ Proteomics Coupling is appeared as two correlated curves translating topology and the dynamic evolution of a hierarchical classification of codons throughout the studied sequence. More precisely, the study of these curves shows that this tool highlights the functional areas and active sites within proteins. The specific context of Proteins Self-Assembly area could be an interesting field to run and improve our new basic research approach. Particularly, studying Prions by this method we propose a possible Prion  PRION self-interaction with a Genomics/ Proteomics correlation coupling ratio of r=99.3 Such prospects oblige us to propose this new theoretical biomathematics approach in the study of the Genetics of the disease of Alzheimer, particularly at the level of Amyloid Plaques.
