Aortic Dissection | Aortic dissection occurs in 3 in 100,000 people per year. Tear in the inner side of aorta causes blood to flow between layers of aorta causing seperation of media layer into inner two third and outer one third. Dissection can be antegrade or retrograde. 96% of people will have chest pain with varying severity with or without radiation. Back pain, vomiting, sweating, headache, blood stained diarrhea, paralytic ileus, strokes and death Males are more affected than females. Males will have double incidence as females. Hypertensions in 80% of patients were observed. A connective tissue disorder is also common. Bicuspid Aortic valve is seen in 7to14% of patients. 5To9% of patients has Marfan syndrome. Along with this Atherosclerosis, Trauma, Post cardiac surgery, Smoking, Cocaine abusers, pregnancy, Aortoarteritis, Turners syndrome, High intensity weightlifting, Syphilis are the other causes [1-7]. Technical Note: Positron Emission Tomography- Computed Tomography (PETCT) Guided Lung Biopsy for Better Yield – A Single Center Experience | Tissue diagnosis is mandatory in work up and treatment strategies of lung cancers. There are many techniques in obtaining tumor samples which include less invasive and invasive techniques. Image guided percutaneous biopsy plays an important role in the work up for lung cancers, of which percutaneous computed tomography (CT) guided core biopsy is an important component. Recent advances in target therapies and personalized medicine, the technique of aspiration cytology is not a preferred technique. The need for multiple large cores of tissue for the diagnoses which include histopathology, immuno histochemistry and also formulation studies is the need of hour and CT guided technique is preferred. The procedure is less invasive, often performed under local anesthesia and as a day care procedure. Complications of CT guided lung biopsy have been well documented and include pneumothorax, haemoptysis, pain, air embolism, a trial fibrillation, and tumor seeding of the biopsy tract and, on rare occasions, death. The complication rates vary from center to center, owing to the expertise. For More Articles: Biomedical Research Articles : https://biomedres.us/

Restricted Boltzmann Machines and Their Extensions for Face Modeling | Restricted Boltzmann Machines, Deep Boltzmann Machines, and their extensions have brought much attention and become powerful tools for many machine learning tasks. The increased popularity of these techniques is not only limited in modelling static data but also time-series data. In this paper, we aim to give a review of recent developments of such models for sequential data modelling. Their structures, energy functions, learning algorithm as well as applications are also provided with systematic discussions. The key Features expected from a Perfect Bioactive Glass –How Far we still are from an Ideal Composition? | The research efforts are often driven by real needs for new or better materials, processes or systems that do not satisfactorily fulfil the expected/desired roles or functions. The discovery of bioactive glasses (BGs) in the late 1960s is a paradigmatic example of a new class of materials intended to replace inert metal and plastic implants that were not well tolerated by the body. Bioactive glasses elicit special responses when in contact with biological fluids that lead to the formation of a bone-like hydroxyapatite (HA) layer at the surface of BGs in vivo and to their strong bonding to living tissues. This last feature of 45S5Bioglass® represents a remarkable milestone and has inspired many other investigations aiming at further exploring the in vitro and in vivo performances of this or other related BG compositions. The main drawbacks of 45S5 Bioglass® include the high pH environment created by its high sodium content turning it cytotoxic; and the poor sintering ability that makes the fabrication of porous 3D scaffolds difficult. All these relevant features strongly depend on a number of interrelated factors that need to be well compromised, including the chemical composition and glass structure, which determine the biocompatibility, the degradation rate, and the easiness of processing (shaping and sintering) the material. The present work gives an overview about the motivations behind the development of a new series of alkali-free bioactive glass compositions that offer a set of well-balanced overall properties for the most demanding applications in healthcare, bone regeneration and tissue engineering. Diabetes is a significant chronic disease, 424.9 million people worldwide are estimated to have diabetes in 2017, and this number is expected to increase to 628.6 million by 2045 [1]. More and more patients with diabetes are affected by other comorbidities, in fact, more than 40% of diabetic people have 3 or more comorbidities [2]. Another important aspect is that, as population ageing, health needs tend to become more complex, multimorbidity, the co-occurrence of multiple diseases in the same patient, represents the most relevant feature among older adults, with a prevalence from 55% to 98% [3]. During December 2017, arose a polemic about some news which showed as Trump administration has secretly banned some words for their use in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention official documents, the following ones: “diversity,” “fetus,” “transgender,” “vulnerable,” “entitlement,” “science-based” and “evidence-based”. It is obvious that there are strong bonds between cultural and political agenda and scientific progress, as well as that no all researches must be automatically allowed without control. Trump is an example (but not the first one, just remind George W. Bush religious ideas that banned most of stem cells research in the U.S.A., allowing the heading of this field to Sought Korea scientists [1], as he has already put in danger the future of several academic scientific fields [2-6]. Nowadays, the application of Nanobiomaterials in dentistry is increasing. The combination of biomaterials with nanotechnology leads to the term of “Nano biomaterial”. Nanotechnology aims to control over material properties at nanoscale and over the precision and sensitivity of various tools and devices in different technologies. In the endodontic science, Nanobiomaterials are utilized in different aspects such as: instruments and materials modifications, improvement of root canal disinfection and obturation, root repair materials, local anesthesia and repair and regeneration of pulpal tissue. The aim of the present study was to reviews the research findings and future possible applications of Nanobiomaterials and nanotechnology in endodontics. The Nutritive Value of Nylotic Fish | Fishing is one of the oldest occupations in Sudan. Fishing has assumed much importance in view of the rapidly growing population and depleting land resources. Fish confirm a very nutritional part of man’s diet. It is rich in protein. It contains a good selection of minerals and vitamins. This study was conducted in estimating these biochemical components. 300 samples of Nylotic fish were tested. It was found that the levels of sodium is 72-85mg/100 g, potassium 279-380, calcium 79-210, magnesium 38-95, iron 1.55-3.4, zinc 0.96-1.34, copper 0.20-1.4. The vitamins tested were found to be 70-350(I.U) for vitamin A and 1.5-3.6 μg/g for vitamin C. The protein was found to be 15-20% whereas the fat 20-30%.
